New Patients - What to expect
Our office has been described as, "unique, fun and open.” The other word commonly used is “comforting.” We hope that you’ll agree. You’ll find that our staff is friendly and helpful and, along with Dr. Eric Atchison completely dedicated to your health and well-being.
There are a variety of appointment types at Murwillumbah Chiropractic & Massage, depending on your progress through care:
Your First Visit - the first time you see us. Up to one hour.
Standard Consultation - your regular appointment. Up to half an hour.
Short Consultation - for ongoing maintenance, also for babies and kids. Up to a quarter of an hour.
Your first visit
We gather information about your health, understanding where you have been and where you want to go. Our analysis includes a thorough health history and chiropractic exam and x-rays if necessary.
Please allow 45 minutes for your first appointment with us.
At the end of the thorough assessment you will be scheduled for a doctor’s report at the next possible appointment for you and the Chiropractor. During your personalised doctor’s report, the chiropractor will review your results with you, give you personalised recommendations for care and discuss affordable financial options for your care.
Goal setting: What is causing your issue? What we can do to help? We talk about what you can expect to achieve from
your treatment, decide on a schedule of care, and discuss what you can do to help your recovery and improvement.
We begin treatment: Murwillumbah Chiropractic & Massage treatment includes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work and rehabilitation exercises. We can also order additional testing, such as x-rays and provide these In-house.
We check your progress and provide treatment. We will constantly review your progress and determine if any changes are needed for your care and rehabilitation program.
